Demystifying web hosting for the innovation generation
Web hosting has come a long way from the days of dial-up, but that doesn’t mean all hosts are created equal. Media Temple was one of the first to offer premium web hosting and called on b. on brand to help them be more transparent about their products and services and create a richer, more dynamic customer experience.

Media Temple was one of the first to offer premium web hosting and called on b. on brand to help them be more transparent about their products and services and create a richer, more dynamic customer experience.
WHAT WE DID
We saw the unique opportunity to lower the barrier for entry and create a more dynamic web hosting experience that engages the sizeable community of web novices and geeks who crave premium programs and services.
b. on brand developed an assessment of Media Temple’s strengths and challenges using stakeholder interviews, a detailed analysis of competitors, audience personas, and an in-depth discovery workshop designed to spark new ideas and surface a new approach with the customer experience.
Our strategy was to showcase (MT) Media Temple as the “host of great ideas,” a company that encourages creativity and the spirit of innovation in the digital world. This mantra also informed the internal dynamics of the brand’s core values and operations, creating a new paradigm for a decidedly more “human” brand of web hosting.
The result was a comprehensive website redesign featuring interactive social platforms, and peer tutorials designed to redefine Media Temple as the champion of “great ideas.”
